The Power of Confidence
Introducing the She’s Mercedes Power Suit Project: an exciting collaboration between Mercedes-Benz Canada and internationally renowned Canadian fashion label Pink Tartan. Featuring three high-profile Canadian women—Mitsou Gélinas, Melissa Grelo, and Stacey McKenzie—the initiative explores and reflects different interpretations of what constitutes a “power suit,” resulting in three distinct garments. The Power Suit Project explores how every woman expresses her own power differently, while celebrating how personal style can amplify the confidence that shines from within.
The Power Suits
A limited number of the power suits are now available for purchase through Pink Tartan. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Dress for Success Canada Foundation, a global non-profit organization that provides professional attire for low-income women to help support their job-search and interview process.
Sharing the Power
Once the power suits were completed, Melissa, Mitsou, and Stacey each gave her power suit to a woman in her life who needed a boost to get to the next level—a physical representation of the advice and support they are passing on to the next generation of high-achievers.

The Designer
Kimberley Newport-Mimran
Kim is President and Design Director of Pink Tartan and the Kim Newport Collection. Her career started in menswear, where she learned tailoring and textiles. After having a baby girl, she decided to design for women. She’s known for her appreciation of understated luxury, modern sophistication and easy elegance. Kim’s design studio is based in Toronto.
