The Mercedes-AMG GT Concept
Welcome to the future of Driving Performance.
Performance isn't just a matter of power.
Instead, it's a seamless fusion of power, driving dynamics and efficiency. The GT Concept, unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show, borrows from the latest AMG racing developments to reveal the future of that philosophy.
A shrine to high performance.
The GT Concept pairs a handcrafted V8 biturbo engine with a high-performance electric motor, integrated with a supremely capable yet lightweight electric storage unit. If it's power you're looking for, this vehicle brings it — to the tune of 805 hp and a leap from 0-100 in less than three seconds. That power is delivered with maximum precision: An electric motor drives the rear wheels directly and each wheel receives torque individually.
While all of that suggests a super sports car, the GT Concept is designed for everyday use. With its spacious 4-door configuration, it literally expands the GT family's profile for comfort and versatility, including a large luggage space at the rear. Daytime running lamps and tail lamps make use of fiber technology to offer a dramatic new lighting effect. In lieu of mirrors, rear-view cameras provide a view of the road.
Look closely at those cameras and you'll see the "EQ Power+" designation, which will mark all future performance hybrids engineered in Affalterbach. It's a symbol of Mercedes-AMG's commitment to pursuing hybrid technology to deliver ever more astonishing performance.
