Yet within, it’s even more spacious, with expanded head room at front, more leg room in the rear and a more generous trunk. It rises nearly 10 cm, so you get the sporty feel of a compact with the commanding presence of an SUV. As we said, magic.
Take the driver’s seat, and feel a sense of profound control. That higher vantage point brings improved visibility, enhanced by new roof-pillar design that expands the view ahead. The free-standing media display provides a modern, intuitive awareness of vehicle functions. The GLA’s modernized 4-cylinder engine propels you with newfound power, while a new suspension delivers, making the long haul an exercise in comfort.
The GLA’s available Driver Assistance Package takes safety to new heights, from Active Brake Assist that provides autonomous emergency braking to the exit warning function that alerts you to cyclists or pedestrians approaching as you prepare to get out. Opt for the 4MATIC variant and you’ll discover even more control. The GLA has a standard Off-Road Package with a designated driving mode, an off-road animation display and even a dedicated light function that combines with the LED Intelligent Light System to deliver more capability than ever.
